PDA Engineers is a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consulting practice designing systems for Southern California commercial real estate since 1994.
All three disciplines are in-house. Every mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system in a PDA drawing set is designed by a PDA engineer, not a subcontractor we pass the work to. This integration is why developers, property managers, and architects keep coming back to us for tenant improvements, restaurants, medical buildouts, and industrial projects.
Any licensed MEP firm can produce working systems. What architects keep coming back to PDA for is the responsiveness: we answer RFIs, review submittals, and turn drawing revisions around without a chase. We’re the firm the rest of the team doesn’t have to chase.
Quietly, efficiently, and within the scope the rest of the team committed to.
Power, lighting, emergency systems, and energy compliance for commercial buildings.
HVAC, building envelope, and energy compliance for Southern California code.
Water, waste, gas, and specialty systems for medical and food service buildouts.
Tenant improvements and ground-up office buildings, with HVAC zoning and flexible power that adapt to changing tenant layouts.
Kitchen exhaust, makeup air, grease interception, and gas distribution for restaurants and cafés across Southern California.
Dental practices and medical office buildings. Medical gas systems, treatment-room HVAC, and dedicated power for imaging equipment.
Warehouse, distribution, and light manufacturing. Heavy electrical loads, large-volume HVAC, and ventilation for high-bay spaces.
Anchor stores, shopping centers, and standalone retail. Systems designed for rapid tenant turnover and landlord-tenant scope splits.
K-12 campuses, universities, and trade schools. Classroom ventilation for high occupancy loads, lab exhaust, gymnasium lighting, and dedicated power for AV and computer labs.
